FLOAT ALASKA rents top quality, reliable equipment to ensure that you have a safe and comfortable float trip.  You will not find better equipment for use on a float trip anywhere in Alaska.

RAFT UNIT

A Float Alaska RAFT UNIT will accommodate 2 or 3 people with all of their personal gear and camping and rafting equipment.  A RAFT UNIT will consist of:

    • 1 Riken outfitter series 14’ raft and aluminum rowing frame with high back padded rowing seat
    • 3 Carlisle oars (9’) with heavy duty outfitter blades; oar extenders; and adjustable oar sleeves with oar rights
    • 105 quart cooler (fits into frame)
    • 16”x16”x40” aluminum dry box (fits into frame)
    • Nylon gear straps
    • Nylon bow rope
    • Ultrafloat Class III/V lifejackets
    • Action Packer containing: raft air pump and bilge pump; rescue throw bag; raft repair kit; and collapsible shovel.

RAFT UNIT : Rental Rate:  $125/day

 

KITCHEN UNIT

A Float Alaska KITCHEN UNIT provides all of the equipment necessary to prepare your meals.  Our propane stove is the best that you’ll find anywhere in the world and we also provide ALL of the propane for your trip.  A KITCHEN UNIT consists of:

    • Partner outfitter deluxe 4 burner propane stove
    • Propane tank with ALL propane included
    • Partner 18”x24” heavy duty aluminum griddle
    • Cooking grill
    • 3 Folding camp chairs
    • Rollup table
    • Cook set containing: 3 heavy duty aluminum stock pots (8, 12, & 16 quart); cooking utensils; and coffee pot (14 cup)
    • Mess kit containing: Rubbermaid plates, bowls and cups; silverware (knives, spoons and forks)
    • Water container
    • Butane lighter

KITCHEN UNIT : Rental Rate:  $60/day

 

TENT UNIT

The tents available from Float Alaska are the best that you’ll find anywhere in Alaska.  We use the 6 person Cabela’s Alaska Guide series tent with attached vestibule.  We recommend 2 or 3 people per tent which provides for exceptional room and comfort.  These are outstanding tents!  A TENT UNIT consists of:

  • 1 Cabela’s Alaska Guide series 6 person tent with rain fly and attached vestibule
  • 2 tarps (1 for outside ground tarp for under the tent and 1 tarp for  inside the tent to go over the floor

TENT UNIT : Rental Rate:  $20/day

 

COMPLETE GEAR SET

For a 2 or 3 person trip, one COMPLETE GEAR SET is recommended.  For a trip for more than 3 people, we would add extra RAFT and TENT UNITS or additional equipment as necessary.  A COMPLETE GEAR SET consists of:

  • 1 RAFT UNIT
  • 1 KITCHEN UNIT
  • 1 TENT UNIT

COMPLETE GEAR SET : Rental Rate:  $195/day
